The cherished dream of the Tamil community in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA has been finally fulfilled. YES! In the December of 2005 a formal Tamil school has been commenced and classes have been conducted ever since regularly. The primary goal of the GCTS Tamil School is to make the children talk Tamil without hesitation and with confidence.

Tamil needs to be taught for a reason. It is just not a language. It is an identity of an ethnic group. It is an expression of our culture. It binds us all under one umbrella. It is a language which has been awarded the classical status in 2005 by the Indian President,Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalaam. It has a rich literature and in depth grammer. It is one of the oldest languages on par with Hebrew and Latin that is still being spoken. Such is the richness of this language and it should be developed in our decendants.

The GCTS Tamil School employs a very simple curriculum to teach talking and writing in Tamil by giving individual attention to every child.
